The National Assocation for Information Destruction (NAID) is a non-profit trade association for the information destruction industry. NAID's mission is to champion the responsible destruction of confidential information, promote the highest standards and ethics and provide counsel to organizations developing information security standards and regulations. NAID members are bound to a strict code of conduct.
NAID was founded in 1994 by companies concerned by the false claims circulated in the marketplace by disreputable service providers that put customers’ information at risk. With over 1200 member locations around the world, NAID represents the interests of legitimate secure destruction service providers by putting the interest of their clients first.
