Business Records Management recycles all media once its been destroyed - paper, tape, film and plastic. As a leader in document security and confidential document destruction, BRM offers a secure, cost-effective document collection and destruction process that includes recycling.

Recycling is the reprocessing of materials into new products. The process generally prevents the waste of potentially useful materials, reduces the consumption of raw materials and reduces energy usage.
Reprocessing can turn recycled paper into other paper products numerous times before the paper fibers are too weak to use. White office paper retains much of its value and goes into products such as tissue, paperboard, stationery, magazines, new office paper and various other products. Mixed paper, which includes glossy and colored paper, envelopes, post-its, newspaper, computer paper, white ledger paper and paper packaging, is less valuable than white paper but can also be recycled into various products.
Recycling saves trees, but since trees are different sizes, it is difficult to tell how much paper comes from one tree. However, one paper manufacturer estimates that a cord of wood measuring 4' x 4' x 8' (128 cubic feet) produces nearly 90,000 sheets of bond-quality paper or 2700 copies of a 35-page newspaper.
Corrugated packaging material is generally referred to as “cardboard” and is known in the recycling industry as Old Corrugated Cardboard (OCC). OCC is bulky and takes up a lot of space in dumpsters, especially if unflattened. Efficient recycling of cardboard can free space and create a safer working environment, and can be managed as a part of a comprehensive records management program. BRM not only destroys your office documents, but also the cardboard box they were stored in, as an added level of security.
Nothing goes to a landfill. BRM also recycles x-ray film, magnetic video and audio tape, computer diskettes, data cartridges and reels, tranparencies and motion picture film. You have the peace of mind that comes from doing what's right, legally and environmentally.
